With it's cluster-stitch details, ribbed band and centre flower, this free crochet beret pattern by our editor Sara Huntington is a great addition to your Autumn wardrobe.

This free crochet hat pattern is hooked in Knit Picks Preciosa Tonal Worsted, but you can use any Aran/Worsted weight yarn to match your style! If you're looking for alternatives, we'd recommend the Rico Design Essential Soft Merino Aran yarn (but as with any yarn substitution, make sure to check your tension first!)

And if you fancy making some matching chunky hand warmers to go with your crochet beret, you can find the accompanying pattern that Sara designed in issue 49 of Simply Crochet, which you can still get as a digital issue.
