Get cracking with colourful stripes and post stitches to rustle up these amazing calf-length socks. They’re worked from the top down using a dazzling array of shades. The ribbing is worked back and forth in rows, joined into a tube and the leg is then worked in the round from the ribbing edge. The back of the heel is worked in rows. The foot is picked up from around the heel and leg stitches and worked in the round.

To hook up these colourwork socks, you’ll need:

  • DROPS Karisma (100% wool, 50g/100m)
  • 4mm hook
  • 2 stitch markers

You’ll find the full pattern, yarn quantities and measurements for this amazing garment, including two size options, in issue 36 of Simply Crochet, or you can buy the individual pattern from our Ravelry store here!

Simply Crochet issue 36 is also available as a digital edition, for Apple phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, the Barnes & Noble Nook, and to read through Zinio as PDFs. Click here to find the right version for you.
