Front and Back – main pattern section

Note on measuring the piece, after the instructions that read:

“Rep last 4 rows until garment measures 73 (73:75:75:77) cm, measured along the decrease line and ending after a Row 2.”

[(These are the measurements after blocking (see blocking diagram) – one can’t measure this before as this garment “needs very firm blocking” and the tension is vastly different before and after blocking.)]

Armhole edging

Using 3.75mm circular needles and yarn A, starting at the underarm with RS facing, pick up and knit 58 (61:64:67:70) to shoulder, pick up and knit 58 (61:64:67:70) to underarm.

116 (122:128:134:140) sts.

Grainne

There are corrections for the Collar section of Grainne by Mary Henderson. One fewer stitch should be picked up at the start than was instructed in the original pattern, which then affects subsequent stitch counts. Download a corrected PDF here. Corrections are in bold.
