With over 20 years of needlecraft experience under her Belt, Maria Diaz is certainly one of the best in biz. Maria always loved art and needlecraft, and her grandmother taught her many crafts as a child, knitting, embroidery and crochet among them. She even learned to sew on her great-grandmother's old foot-treadled Singer which she still uses! After studying Fine Art at Leicester, Maria went on to work in the design field, eventually becoming an independent designer. In her articles for the World of Cross Stitching, she shares her beautiful cross stitch designs with the readers. Maria runs her own website and in addition to selling her cross stitch patterns, she also takes cross stitch commissions.
