Repair Shop fans confused by missing experts in the new series line-up

It's official, The Repair Shop is returning to our screens for a brand-new series this October. First announced on Instagram, this series is set to be one of the best yet, welcoming familiar expert faces and new treasures back into the Repair Shop barn.

When will The Repair Shop return to our screens?

The first episode of the new series will air on October 1st at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

What can we expect from the first episode?

The first episode features four incredible items, each with a rich history, restored to their former glory. First up, drum restorer Pete Woods and horologist Steve Fletcher pair up to fix an extraordinary clock that’s housed within a miniature drum kit.

While Pete and Steve work on the clock, paper conservator Angelina Bakalarou gets familiar with American history. She's tasked with restoring a water-damaged photograph which tells an incredible story...

Finally, the first episode will also see ceramics expert Kirsten Ramsay work her magic on a very special wax statuette and luthier Julyan Wallis repair a unique Venezuelan instrument. Each of these four items tells a beautiful story – it's set to be a real tear-jerker episode!

The 2025 expert lineup

Eagle-eyed fans have also noticed the 2025 Repair Shop announcement photo is missing some beloved restorers. Amanda Middleditch and Julie Tatchell, dubbed the teddy bear ladies, are not pictured. Neither is master cobbler Dean Westmoreland.

The BBC has neither confirmed nor denied whether these experts will feature in this year's series; however, the Repair Shop photo announcement may be misleading! While Dean Westmoreland isn't pictured, his recent Instagram post suggests he will make an appearance on the show.

Posted on the 20th September, his caption states: "Last day filming for this series @therepairshoptv Can’t wait for you all to see the incredible new items we’ve all been working on!"

You'll have to watch the new series to find out!
