We all know someone who likes spending their free time pottering around the garden, digging up the allotment or hiding in their beloved sanctuary – the garden shed. Though gardening is enjoyed by all sexes, these printables are especially good for Father's Day cards DIY crafting, or making DIY birthday cards for dad. It can be tricky finding cards that appeal to men. Vicky Bailey’s been busy raising up some beautiful shed-inspired cards to suit gardeners who love to spend time outdoors in the fresh air. You’ll have great fun layering up garden scenes – there are even vegetables to plant in the furrows.

Print the two shed illustrations, stick onto card and cut them out, cutting the door open on the outside shed. Layer them up with the opening door on top to make a card with a door that opens.Add some birds and flower pots and tools using sticky foam pads, and you can decoupage the shed window too if you want to

Take plain card and make concertina folds in varying heights to build up a card stepper. Stitch this to the front of a top fold card decorated with a shed rom the printables. Fussy cut the vegetablesfrom the printables and tuck in between the layers for a 3D look.

Create a clever twist on a stepper card by making a side stepper using your free template and decorate with fussy cut illustrations from the gardening printables

Make a small envelope using a piece of brown card measuring 9.5x7cm. Wrap with a 2.5cmwide strip of grass paper. Wind some twine around the envelope and tie it into a bow.
