10 things you didn't know about Traitors star Tom Daley

Celebrity Traitors has officially launched in the UK with the first episode featuring an all-star line-up. Tom Daley, known best for his Olympic achievements, is one of the stars of this year's show, but how well do you really know him?

He's made headlines in recent years, not only for his diving prowess, but also for the launch of his Mental Health craft kits and role as host of the upcoming reality TV show, Game of Wool. Since he's currently on our screens, here are ten facts about Tom Daley you might not know...

1. He told the Guardian he used to love wearing tea towels as a kid! "This was the beginning of my perfectionism – and possibly the first signs that I might not be 100% straight," said Tom.
2. Tom retired from diving last year, after winning a silver medal at the Paris Olympics.
3. His father, and biggest supporter, passed away when he was just 17 years old.
4. He has two children (Robbie, aged 7 and Phoenix, aged 2) with his partner, Dustin Lance Black.
5. Tom Daley: 1.6 Seconds, a documentary about Tom's life, was released in June on Amazon Prime.
6. Tom told OUT magazine that he approaches his creative hobbies with the same ferocity as he did in his diving career: “I set goals. I sometimes find myself timing myself — how quickly I can make something. I am very methodical with it.”
7. He's knitted cardigans for a huge range of A-listers, including Cynthia Eo and Ariana Grande!
8. Tom's new Made With Love range is sold exclusively at Hobbycraft and includes crochet, embroidery, and iron-on patch kits.
9. In 2024, Tom auctioned off a pair of his swimming trunks, raising £10,000 for the Royal Life Saving Society UK.
