Free sunflower printables
Craft bee-rilliant makes using these bee and sunflower patterned printables, which are bursting with summery charm. The golden yellow hues are perfect for birthday and wedding makes.
Very often, it’s the simple things that make us happy and sunflowers are most definitely one of them! Happily, we’ve got our sunflower fix with this happy-go-lucky collection of printables. Featuring golden-yellow sunflowers, buzzing bees, honey hives and a flower-filled wheelbarrow, this free collection is happiness on a page!
Fussy cut the details from the collection to create sunny scenes, with wheelbarrows, buzzy bees and sunflowers to choose between. Our designer has created a sunflower gatefold card by trimming the large sunflower into two and attaching each half to the front of a gatefold base, concealing a bee and the sentiment inside.
With sunflower and honeycomb sentiment toppers, these printables are guaranteed to make your card designs sticky sweet!
Try these sunflower cards:
1. Flower garden card
Create a top-fold 15cm square white card blank. Cut a 14cm square of honeycomb paper and layer onto black card. Mount onto the white card with double-sided tape or foam pads.
Cut out one of the printable fences as shown, leaving a white border around the edge. Layer the fence onto the card blank using sticky foam pads.
Using the Poinsettia die, cut out four leaves and decorate with a leaf design using a fineliner pen. Create the sunflower stem in green card, using the Sue Wilson Catkin Stems die.
Once you have cut out the stem and leaves, add them to the base card as shown. Secure the pieces behind the fence using glue, to create your garden scene.
Using either a craft knife or scissors, carefully fussy cut three sunflower heads, a ‘Live in the Moment’ sentiment and a bee. Secure sticky foam pads to the back of the printables.
Add the sunflowers to your base card – three across the top and one in the bottom right corner. When attaching the flowers, make sure all the leaves are tucked behind.
Attach the sentiment and bee design to the card using sticky foam pads. Add a little extra dimension by bending the bee’s wings back slightly to create a sense of movement.
2. Honeycomb card
Layers of honeycomb and sunflower paper are topped with bees and flowers in this easy-to-make design
- Create a 12.5 x 12.5cm top-fold white card base with scalloped-edge scissors. Cut an 11.5cm square of sunflower paper and layer it onto the card base.
- Cut 11.5 x 11.5cm of honeycomb paper. Cut along the combs’ edge, from corner to corner, to create two sections of paper.
- Using sticky foam pads, add the honeycomb papers to the top and bottom of the card to create a valley in the centre of the design.
- Using scissors or a craft knife, cut around two bees and add to the middle section of the card using sticky foam pads.
- Finally, cut out a sunflower and attach it to the top-right corner. Cut out the ‘bee happy’ sentiment and secure it to the card using sticky foam pads.
3. Sunflower stepper card
This stepper card is super fun to make and a great way to create a pretty garden scene! It would make the perfect card for any keen gardener, male or female.
4. Hidden message card
By cutting one of the large sunflowers in half, you can create a fun card with a secret message inside. This card works well with other flower designs too…
