Tie front blouses, circle skirts and pleats
1. Tie front blouse pattern

For the first challenge of the first 2025 episode, the contestants had to make tie-front blouses. They created some gorgeous ribbon-tied tops that we absolutely loved!
If you fancy making your own, we have two amazing and very different tie-front blouses for you to choose from. The first is this beautiful Bea Blouse.
Second is the gorgeous Anais top, made from a lightweight fabric and complete with a tassel front. Ideal for hot summer days.

Or check out our round-up of the best blouse patterns to find your perfect pattern.
2. Circle skirts

While the Bee's technically upcycled their circle skirts (browse our upcycling clothes ideas if this takes your fancy), we love a circle skirt for summer. Use our free circle skirt pattern here on Gathered to make your own.
3. Pleated dresses
Pleated dresses were the Made to Measure challenge, and boy, did the Bees pull out all the stops! There were some incredible dresses which inspired us to make our own.

Practice your pleats with the Abigail Dress. It's simple, wearable and will be a great addition to your summer wardrobe.
If you'd prefer a dress with fewer pleats, stitch the Daisy Dress. This dress is a brilliant all-rounder and can be worn for both casual and formal occasions.

Not a fan of dresses? Use Leah Farquharson’s free pleated skirt pattern instead!
