The DMC Petra 3 yarn used is classed as a crochet thread, however it is one of the thicker crochet threads so you could easily substitute this for a 4ply cotton yarn.

Raspberry

Using Raspberry yarn

Round 1 Ch6, ss in first ch to make a ring.

Round 2 8dc into ring [8dc]

Round 3 2tr into each st [16 sts]

Round 4 Tr into each st [16 sts]

Turn the raspberry inside out and tuck in the beginning tail.

Fasten off, leaving a tail enough to weave through the remaining stitches.

Stuff the raspberry before weaving the yarn through the sts, pulling it tight as you go. This makes a bumpy shape, which looks more like a raspberry! Weave in any ends.
