Treat tiny feet to Laura Eccleston’s suitably cute teddy bear crochet baby booties
Welcome brand new arrivals with a playful pair of crocheted teddy bear booties. This unisex design will look just as cute on little boys or girls, and will keep little toes warm and snuggly. Only small amounts of yarn are used, so they’re great for busting the stash. The booties (made in the round) are made first, then the individual eyes, nose and ears are made and sewn to the booties.
You will need:
• Robin Chunky yarn, 100% acrylic, 100g/140m per ball, 1 ball each in: 081 Russet (Yarn A); 035 Oatmeal (Yarn B); and 044 Raven (Yarn C). Note: only small quantities of Yarn
B and C will be needed.
• 5mm (UK 6, US H/8) crochet hook
• Yarn needle
Tension is not important for this project – just ensure your stitches are suitably dense.
You can find a full list of all abbreviations we use in our abbreviations and conversions guide. This pattern is written in UK terminology but you can easily convert it to US terms using this handy chart.
