These baby cross stitch patterns  are worked on 28-count white evenweave over two threads of the fabric, using 12 shades of stranded cotton ion the set, but just a few shades per card. Thebaby cross stitch patterns use whole cross stitch and fractional stitches in two strands of thread, with backstitch definition in one strand. French knots also add extra detail in one strand of thread. These free baby cross stitch patterns are recommended for intermediate stitchers.

How to pick a baby cross stitch card colour

If you don’t know whether the baby is a boy or girl, or simply don’t want to make a card in pink or blue, then choose pastel shades for a gender-neutral design. A pale mint green, lilac or lemon  will all work beautifully with these motifs.
