Make a crochet magic loop.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1, 6dc into the loop, ss into the top of the first dc to join. [6 dc]

Round 2 Ch6 (counts as tr, ch3), (tr into next dc, ch3) 5 times, ss into the top of the beginning ch-3 to join. [6 tr, 6 ch-3 sp]

Round 3 Ss into first ch-3 sp, ch3 (counts as tr), 4tr into same ch-3 sp, *ch3, tr into the next ch-3 sp, ch3, 5tr into the next ch-3 sp; repeat from *, ch3, tr into the next ch-3 sp, ch3, ss into the top of the beginning ch-3 to join. [18 tr, 6 ch-3 sp]

Fasten off and weave in ends.

You can easily join motifs while working Round 6, replacing the ch-3 in the picot marked on the chart with (ch1, ss to the corresponding ch-sp on the other motif, ch1). Your crochet spider web pattern is complete!

Top Tip - If you use a different yarn to the one suggested your spider web chains might be a bit wobbly. To get your spider web looking its absolute best and get those edges nice and straight, it's worth taking the time to block your crochet. You could even use soak or paint your spiderweb in PVA glue and let it dry to stiffen it.
