The felling of the tree at Sycamore Gap, located in Northumberland National Park, captured the hearts of many, and when Lucy Pittaway painted this striking image Bothy Threads couldn’t wait to create a stitchy version. The artwork immortalises this iconic tree in all its glory beneath starry skies and northern lights, with the local Herdwick sheep watching on.
