From stunning sunsets to colour-popping yarns, #ihavethisthingwithcolour is a fab tag to share your bright makes and colours that liven up your day. The US version of the tag #ihavethisthingwithcolor is where it all started, so it’s worth checking out both – the US version for more variety and the UK version to connect with local makers.

The #colourmyeveryday challenge by Adventures and Tea Parties has grown massively since it began in 2017. With week-long challenges and daily prompts to get you going, it’s a great way to inject some colour into your social media. There’s a challenge running at the mo, but don’t worry if you miss it as there’ll be another one along soon.

For all makers who would say their favourite colour is rainbow, #crafttherainbow is the tag to find fellow makers who cram all the colours into their projects, from painting to knitting and everything in between.

#candycolours / #candyminimal
Want your colours to remind you of your fave confectionery? Then step this way. You’ll find pastels from dusky pink to marvellous mint on everything from hair to buildings. Both tags — #candycolours (UK) and #candycolors (US) — are good enough to eat. If you haven’t had your fill of pretty pastels you can follow #candyminimal too.

There are several spellings of this tag, but by far the most popular is #colorcolourlovers, with hundred of thousands of posts. The colour-popping hashtag was created by British photographer and Instagram expert Xanthe Berkeley in 2016 and soon spread worldwide. You can even add you favourite colour to the end of the hashtag — e.g.
#colorcolourloverspink — to hunt down a more curated array of pics. The #colourcolourlovers version is a good hashtag to use to connect with makers in the UK.
