Jane Rae is a walking quilt encyclopedia with a passion for quilts. She’s met some of the world’s most talented makers, artists, designers and curators of quilt and textile collections in her time working for Today’s Quilter magazine. She shares anecdotes, discoveries and serendipitous moments from her travels in stitch in her new column for Today’s Quilter magazine. She was part of the oral history project Talking Quilts, sharing the stories of quilters here in the UK at www.talkingquilts.org.uk (a project of The Quilters’ Guild) and continues to explore local textile history through part-time study. Her Instagram feed @patchworknomad is a treasure trove of textiles, books and the countryside around her home in the Scottish Borders.
