Bazaar Basket Crochet Pattern – Upcycling Project
Enrich a plain basket with the flair and flavour of exotic Morocco!
This vibrant design bursts over the basket lip and pours down the diamond motifs before dripping to the floor through the beaded fringing. Now that’s awash with colour! You can adapt the sizing of this embellishment to suit any basket size – although of course a particularly large one would need additional yarn quantities to those listed in the magazine.
To hook up this fantastic pattern, you’ll need:
- Paintbox Yarns Metallic DK (55% cotton, 45% polyamide, 50g/120m) in Blue Hawaii (08), Tequila Sunrise (09), Sazerac (11), Sangria (10) and Sea Breeze (07)
- A 3.5mm (US E/4) hook
- A basket (ours is 120cm in circumference)
- Felted or wooden beads, 2cm
- For yarn stockists contact Love Crafts on 01409 404010 or at www.lovecrafts.com
