It’s all in the detail!
This month we’ve been thinking about how the little details can make a knitting design shine. There are so many ways we can add interest to our knits – the thick cord on a winding cable cardigan; the bright rainbow of colours in a dense Fair Isle scarf; or the surprise addition of travelling vine stitch to a sleeve or back panel (all three of which you can find in this issue).
Details also play a part in the knitted gifts we give – a tissue-lined box and hand-printed gift tag really do add that personal touch. If you’re thinking of knitting something for a friend or family member, we’ve got some brilliant knits inside both our extra Gorgeous Gifts booklet and the main magazine. Take a peek at our pretty vintage bag in a lovely dewdrop pattern, or perhaps a delightful green beanie would be the perfect knit for a fan of country walks.
These, and plenty more small projects, would be perfect for spending a little time on, delivering a gift to make you proud. Whoever you’re crafting for, we hope you have a wonderful detail-packed knitting month!
