Begin your winter knitting with a project destined to become a family heirloom. Lynne Rowe’s vibrant, heart-themed blanket is a must-knit and you can make it square by square with Simply Knitting magazine! The blanket features a pretty mix of hearts and diamonds, and is a fun way to try out lots of different stitch patterns.
The pattern was first published in issues 179-184, with two squares in each issue, plus in the final instalment a numbered grid for square placement, details on adding the blanket’s border and how to sew everything up neatly. You can get your digital copies here. It’s also available on Ravelry, where you can find all of the individual squares or an e-book containing the entire pattern.
