Most charms have a moulded loop at the top and can be easily attached to your stitching using a single strand of cotton. For a concealed finish, choose a thread that’s the same colour as the fabric or, if you’re adding the charm over the top of a stitched area, match the thread to the cross stitches.
Secure the thread at the back of the fabric, then bring it up at the point where you want to attach your charm.
Stitch several small, neat stitches over the top of the charm’s loop, while holding the charm in place with your thumb.
Finish off by securing the thread at the back and cutting it off neatly.
