Find your next embroidery project with Bothy Threads

With almost 30 years of stitching under its belt, much-loved cross stitch brand Bothy Thread has kicked off its fourth decade by launching its very first embroidery kits. Back in 1993, founder Kate Golby ran out of kits to stitch and, so, created her own. Reaching out to artists she admired, she began converting their works into cross stitch and tapestry pieces, adding a smattering of beads and sequins here and there along the way, and voila – Bothy Threads was born!

The new embroidery kits, which launched last September, were an instant hit and are due to be joined by even more beautiful designs this month. Each kit comes with pre-printed fabric ready for you to add as much or as little stitching as you like.

So, whether you’re an avid embroiderer – like Kate! - and you want to be creative and cover the whole design, or it’s your first time picking up a needle and thread so adding a few beginner-friendly stitches is more your thing, the end result will look just as impressive. And, as the kits come with everything you need, including handy instructions, they also make wonderful gifts for fellow embroiderers and future stitching converts, too! With over 800 designs already in Bothy Threads’ library, from over 50 famous artists, we’re excited to see – and stitch – the new embroidery collection as it grows and grows… See the range for yourself here.
