Heinz Broccoli and Stilton Soup Pasta Bake

This dinner is the perfect mid-week meal – quick, easy and super delicious! With a cheesy, creamy sauce and hearty penne pasta, it’s both comforting and filling. Follow our steps below to whip up this scrumptious Heinz Broccoli and Stilton Soup Pasta Bake.

Ingredients

  • 1 tin Heinz Broccoli and Stilton soup
  • 250g (8.8oz) penne pasta
  • 200g (7oz) broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 20g (0.7oz) unsalted butter
  • 30g (1.1oz) plain flour
  • 350ml (11.8fl oz) whole milk
  • 100g (3.5oz) mature cheddar (grated)
  • Fresh salad leaves (to serve)

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 200°c (Gas mark 6).

  • Step 2

    Cook pasta as per pack instructions, and for the last 5 minutes of cooking time add the broccoli. Once cooked drain and set aside.

  • Step 3

    Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat, add the flour and stir to form a paste. Add the milk a dash at a time, stirring continuously to form a smooth thick sauce.

  • Step 4

    Add half of the grated cheese and the Heinz Broccoli and Stilton soup, stir well and cook until the cheese is fully melted.

  • Step 5

    Pour the sauce over the pasta and broccoli, stir well, season to taste and transfer to an oven proof dish. Top with the rest of the cheese and bake for 20 minutes until golden and bubbling.

  • Step 6

    Serve with a fresh green salad and enjoy!
