Protective gear is rarely this stylish – enjoy the sun but swerve the UV nasties in our cute crochet sun hat by Samanta Fornino of Follow the Crochet. This free summer crochet hat pattern is hooked up in the fabulous Ra-Ra Raffia by Wool and the Gang, a biodegradable tape-style yarn made from wood fibres that is really fun to crochet with and great for projects like this free sun hat crochet pattern. It does create quite thick stitches and is worked double-stranded, so check your stitch markers before you begin as they may not be large enough – large safety pins would work in a snap.
