Step 2

Using 2 strands of red embroidery floss, with the following embroidery stitches: seed stitch and satin stitch, embroider the Santa hat. Using a single strand of red embroidery floss, straight stitch Santa nose, cheeks and mouth. Using 2 strands of white embroidery floss (3 strands for larger faces), French knot the beard. Then with a single strand of black embroidery floss French knot the eyes.

Step 3

Cut out the faces, leaving about 3/4″ of extra fabric around each one, and place it into your mini hoop. To finish, stitch along the edge of the fabric with a running stitch. Stuff with a little bit of soft toy stuffing between the fabric and middle inset of your mini hoop, then pull the thread to gather the fabric around the inset and slip into the hoop. Add a bit more soft toy stuffing between the middle inset and the backing plate.

Step 4
