We've Made It episode 3: Declutter your craft stash
Are you a craft hoarder or a minimalist? In our latest podcast, Sarah and Zoe share tips to help you Marie Kondo your craft stash and DIY hacks to keep your craft kit neatly stored away
With the first hint of spring in the air, we get an overwhelming urge to clear out our houses and put everything in order (or is that just us?).
In this episode of We've Made It, we'll be chatting about decluttering tips to help you clear out unused craft supplies, how to keep all of your kit neat and tidy, discussing our crafting personality types and Sarah's messy cupboard of shame.
Projects of the week
This week, Sarah's feeling inspired by this gorgeous fox slippers knitting pattern from Sincerely Louise, which originally featured in MollieMakes magazine.
Meanwhile, Zoe is cosying up with a chunky knitted cowl project created by Jo Allport from Simply Knitting magazine.
One good thing
Every year Zoe loves to re-read the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman – the magical tale of brave young girl called Lyra who ventures into other worlds. As the TV series has recently been released onto BBC iPlayer, Zoe is planning to work her way through series one and series two. What a treat!
Sarah is currently rediscovering her love of small projects. She often tends to be over-ambitious with her makes (for example, crocheting huge blankets). So she's finding pleasure in taking on a quick pattern – this month it's this vibrant bobble hat from Simply Crochet magazine.
- Crafting4good – donate your old craft supplies for a good cause!
- Reuseful UK – support your local scrap store when you clear out your stash.
