The lovely Becki Clark is here to teach you how to make a macrame feather keychain that you can add to your keys or bag. It's a really easy five minute craft that you can whip up in front of the TV and gift to all your pals. It's also a great beginner project if you're new to the world of macrame. You will need:

  • Single twist cotton string 0.5cm (1/4") thick
  • Keyring
  • Pet brush

How to make a macrame feather keychain

You will need:

  • Single twist cotton string
  • Keyring
  • Pet brush

Step 1

Tie a length of string to the keyring, then cut 20 pieces the same length as the leaf stem.

Step 2

How to make a macrame feather

Fold one in half and place under the stem, pull the ends through the loop, then tighten.

Step 3

Repeat with the next length on the other side, then repeat until you reach the bottom.

Step 4

Brush out the string, flatten, then trim into a leaf shape.
