To knit the Leafy Edging, just follow this stitch pattern to the desired length:

Cast on 12 sts.

Row 1 (RS) Yo, K1, yo, K2, (k2tog) twice, K2, yo, k2tog, K1.

Row 2 and every alt row Purl.

Row 3 Yo, K3, yo, K1, (k2tog) twice, K1, yo, k2tog, K1.
